What this Speedmaster is
Reference 310.30.42.50.04.001 belongs to Omega’s Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional line. At Omega it is a 42 mm steel chronograph that you wind by hand, with a tachymeter scale on the bezel for reading speed against the chronograph and no date window on the dial. This replica is built to that design and those proportions.
Winding it
Our movement guide lists the hand-wound ST19 type for Speedmaster chronographs and gives them 42-48 hours of reserve. On a watch wound by hand, a few turns of the crown each morning are enough if you wear it daily. After a couple of days off the wrist, give it 20-30 turns before you set the time. The two pushers next to the crown start, stop and reset the chronograph.
How it differs from the other Speedmasters in the shop
The Speedmaster Snoopy 310.32.42.50.02.001 is also a 42 mm hand-wound reference at Omega, with the Snoopy theme. The ceramic Dark Side of the Moon models are bigger at 44.25 mm, and so are the Racing chronographs, which Omega builds as self-winding. If you want the proportions of the classic Moonwatch and don’t mind the daily winding, start with this reference. The full range is in our Speedmaster collection.
Fit and care
Our size guide places the 42 mm Speedmaster in the range for wrists of about 16.5 to 19 cm. Rain and washing your hands are fine, but it stays out of the pool and the shower. Keep it away from magnets, which can upset the timing of any mechanical watch.
Before it ships
We send photos and a video of your actual watch for approval before dispatch. It travels in protective packaging; the Omega box and papers set is sold separately. Delivery and return terms are on the shipping page.
