What makes it a Racing
The minute track around the dial is the part that gives Omega’s Speedmaster Racing its name. Reference 329.33.44.51.04.001 is a 44.25 mm model from that line, and the 51 in the number is Omega’s code for a self-winding chronograph.
Reading the tachymeter
Start the chronograph at one marker, stop it at the next one a kilometre later, and the tachymeter scale on the bezel shows your average speed in km/h. It works for anything that takes between roughly 7 and 60 seconds.
Size
At 44.25 mm the Racing is in the same size class as the Dark Side of the Moon, which our size guide suggests for wrists larger than 19 cm. The Moonwatch Professional at 42 mm is the smaller option.
Other Racing references
Speedmaster Racing 329.30.44.51.06.001 and Racing 329.30.44.51.01.001 share this case size. Compare the reference numbers if you are after one particular version.
Care and delivery
Keep it out of the water beyond the odd splash, and away from magnets. Before it leaves our Hong Kong warehouse you check the actual unit on camera, and delivery is free and tracked. The Omega box is available as an add-on.
