What Deep Black means
Omega uses the name Deep Black for a Planet Ocean 600M in a ceramic case. The 22 in reference 215.92.46.22.01.002 marks the GMT version at Omega, so besides hours and minutes there is an extra hand that tracks a second time zone. The 46 stands for the 45.5 mm Planet Ocean case.
Using the GMT hand
Set the main hands to local time and leave the GMT hand on home time, and both are readable at a glance when you travel. The visible functions, GMT hand included, are checked on every watch before it ships.
Size and thickness
Our size guide lists the Planet Ocean at 45.5 mm and about 16 mm thick, one of the biggest cases we sell, and recommends it for a wrist of 19 cm or more. Below that, a 42 mm Diver 300M such as 210.30.42.20.01.001 is easier to wear. The other Deep Black reference in the shop is Planet Ocean 215.92.46.22.01.001.
Movement and water
Our movement guide names the self-winding DD8900 type for the Planet Ocean line. The crown screws down, and once it is closed the watch can go swimming in a pool; leave it off for hot tubs, hot showers and dives with a tank.
Ordering
The QC set, pictures plus a short clip of the exact watch, reaches you within 3-5 business days of payment. If something in them bothers you, the team adjusts it or finds another unit. The wooden Omega box with its pouch comes only with the separate box and papers set.
