Deep Black
Deep Black is Omega’s name for the Planet Ocean made entirely in black ceramic, case and bezel included. This reference keeps colour to a minimum: orange appears only on the word Seamaster, the tip of the GMT hand and one marker on the minute track.
Two time zones
The fourth hand, with the orange arrow, points to a 24-hour scale around the dial. Set it to home time and the main hands to where you are, or the other way round. Visible functions such as the GMT hand work on our watches, and each one is tested before it ships.
Size
At 45.5 mm the Planet Ocean is among the biggest watches in the shop, and our size guide recommends it for wrists over 19 cm. The black case makes it look a little smaller than a steel one of the same width.
Care
A ceramic case keeps its colour, but it can chip on a hard knock, so take it off for sports with weights or tools. With the crown screwed down it is fine in the pool; take it off for saunas and deep dives.
Other black ceramic models
The Deep Black 215.92.46.22.01.002 is its sibling with a different colour accent, and the Worldtimer 215.92.46.22.01.007 adds a world map to the same black case.
