The quiet version
Omega makes this Worldtimer in two colour schemes, and this is the darker one. There is no bright colour on the dial; the map, the city names and the 24-hour ring are grey on black, and only the luminous hands and markers stand out. If you want the same watch with turquoise, look at the Planet Ocean 215.92.46.22.01.006.
What the dial shows
Around the map runs a ring with 24 city names, from London to Sydney, and inside it a 24-hour scale. On Omega’s watch you read the hour in any of those cities by lining them up. The date is at 6 o’clock. How much of the world time display works on the current batch, the team tells you before you order.
Wearing a black ceramic case
At Omega the case and bezel are black ceramic, 45.5 mm wide. On the wrist it looks large, which is why our size guide suggests it for wrists over 19 cm. A ceramic case can chip if it hits something hard, so take it off for the gym.
Water
Screw the crown down and it can join you in the pool. Keep it away from hot showers and scuba diving.
Other black Planet Ocean models
The Deep Black 215.92.46.22.01.002 has the same black case with a GMT hand instead of the map.
